A team in Nyon
Swiss Made AI welcomes SwissPME to its network. Developed in Nyon, the platform grew out of the administrative needs of a business in French-speaking Switzerland. Its starting point was to bring documents and task tracking together.
For our association, this arrival opens a practical conversation about AI in small businesses: what it makes easier, what a person needs to check and which technical choices should be documented.
MailRoom in everyday work
MailRoom brings together invoices, contracts and mail received by email or uploaded as PDFs. AI suggests how to file them and extracts useful details such as the supplier, amount or due date. A person can review and correct these suggestions.
Search helps users find their documents. Team features let them share a document or assign it to a colleague. Businesses using bexio can send a supplier invoice there with its PDF after validation.
Additional software
SwissPME lets businesses activate the tools they need without adopting the entire suite at once:
- Offers and quotes : prepare proposals and track their acceptance online.
- Purchase orders : track purchases and match orders with invoices.
- Subscription management : bring recurring costs together and monitor deadlines.
- Expense claims : centralise receipts and reimbursement requests.
- Absences and leave : organise requests and team availability.
- Working hours and time tracking : record schedules and track hours worked.
- Human resources : bring employee records and documents together.
Data and human oversight
SwissPME states that its application, documents and backups are hosted in Switzerland with Infomaniak. Its privacy statement explains that AI analysis may use OpenAI on infrastructure in Europe, or a provider configured by the business. Hosting and processing should therefore be distinguished.
MailRoom also lets users mark a document as confidential and file it without AI analysis. These choices, alongside human validation of suggestions, provide a basis for discussing responsible practices within the network.
Joining Swiss Made AI and receiving the label are separate processes. This introduction announces a new member; it is not a certification decision by the committee.
